I swear it was either Robbie or Brian that made the statement they expected State to add about 31 players. That was including about 3 transfers. Sounds like a lot to me but they have a lot of guys crystal balled

To me the portal is great to fill a couple of positions of need like we have this year but I would prefer recruiting high school kids and bringing them thru the system. Esp if it Mississippi kids. I like that we will go to Florida or Texas if necessary but we still get a lot of fairly local kids.

LA Tech was loaded with transfer portal guys from P5 schools. I believe thier entire defense was portal transfers.

27 or 28 would be my guess. Then add 3 or 4 thru the portal. Ya never know with these kids but thats how its trending.

Better get a left tackle that can perform at an $EC standard. This is critical. A right tackle would be nice as well. The offense performed decently without having a legit right tackle this season, but we cannot have two turn styles at the offensive tackle positions in 2022.

The most important positions in football! Also, the most sought after players during recruiting season for both the NFL and college football. Replacing Cross is the biggest problem we face going into next season. Otherwise, Will will be watching the game from the ground.
