When I called I was told they are an internet company, not a cable company. I told them good luck with that. Sux as they used to be a great service company.
ESPN definitely still wants cable subs. They get paid for their services by people who don’t want their services.Feel like this is going to be more and more common with cable companies now that ESPN DTC is live. ESPN doesn’t need cable companies anymore, cable companies need ESPN, and so Mickey Mouse is going to charge cable companies huge prices to keep airing their stuff, I’m sure.
TIL there’s still at least one cable company still in bid’nissJust want to point out that the only cable company in an SEC city does not offer ESPN.
That's so absurd that its unbelievable.
I'm sort of the opposite. If I'm running a cable or streaming service, now that ESPN is offering a DTC model, I'm dropping ESPN and cutting prices. The ones that want ESPN can get it from ESPN, and you can focus on the customers that want cable other than ESPN. That's certainly going to cost some customers, but if you are already going to lose the customer that only care about ESPN to its DTC model, I'm not sure how you justify the ESPN costs.Feel like this is going to be more and more common with cable companies now that ESPN DTC is live.
