Maybe this is why SoCal is leaving the Pac 12.

Sat down with my brother Saturday night after being out and about all day and got ready to turn on the SoCal game. Wasn't a big deal, but got a few chips out and soda out just to relax at the end of the day and enjoy a Week 0 game. What commenced was a 30-minute long ordeal to find the game, culminating with signing up for a free trial of Fubo and then realizing I also had to add one of their sports packages just to get the Pac 12 Network. Went to bed at halftime and canceled the Fubo within the 24 hour window, so no biggie. I just assumed being Week 0 with not that many games on and it being SoCal that the game would be on ESPN. I don't follow them that much and don't ordinarily prioritize watching their game, so I assumed incorrectly. I've got YouTube tv and have never not been able to find a game until now. I hopped on Twitter, and there were scores of posts from people trying to find the game.

In our area, the only way to get the Pac 12 network, per their website is: DISH, EarthLink Live TV, Fubo, Sling and Vidgo.

I donā€™t think the game was available on my HULU sports package- which is supposed to be mostly everything.

I had a roommate that was an Ohio St. fan. So of course I had to add the Big10 network to my cable package so he could get all the Big10 stuff during football season. The quality was actually down a few notches as far as the picture and sound compared to the SEC network and regular ESPN. So I used to relentlessly pick at him about it, that we are now paying some dude $20 a month to go sit in stadium and film the games for us on his handheld video camera. šŸ˜‚
