We now have 6 players in the portal: Green, Leveque, Carter, Stevenson, Cousinard and Woodley.

Throw in seniors Martin, Wilson, Bryant and Reese. Not sure which of these have any eligibility left? Reese, I think is done. Martin obviously won't be back. Maybe Bryant and Wilson still have a year?

That's at least 8 and possibly 10 who are gone from this year's team.

I think this is probably the best scenario for Paris. He's not hamstrung by having to work with so many of the previous coach's players while you try implementing your own system. Speeds up the rebuild process. That makes me a little more optimistic for next season.

These players didn't make the NIT. Let's all take a step back.

Yes, I don't think there's much to worry about talent-wise, though the numbers might looks scary.

Paris gets a big head start on rebuilding the roster.

It probably does cost us Jackson, since he probably won't want to come play on a team that's totally rebuilding its roster, but I don't think it's a huge loss. He's a one-and-done.

The one positive is that Coach Paris will have several scholarships available to attack the portal. We are a little late on most high school kids for 2022 at this point. It will ultimately be up to him to get the best available guys on campus.

It'll be interesting to see who he can attract.

Agreed. With half the SEC jobs turning over (not to mention other jobs across the country) there are going to be a lot of guys with NCAA experience in the portal. We just blew everything up, so I'm not sure if we are a very attractive destination for a P5 transfer right now. My guess would be that we get some solid Group of 5 guys who want to try to play up a level and test themselves in P5.

I’m pretty sure Wilson is done too.

Well, Hannibal was at least in the tourney this year. He played pretty well there last year and fared well in the tourney. Wonder why he's hitting the portal.
