Michael Henig called…As many will remember, McCord was previously at Ohio State (yes Miss State was on his list). Beat Notre Dame last year but threw a game ending pick against Michigan that could have changed the national championship last season.
Worst first half from a QB since maybe Fitz down in Baton Rouge...

When people talk about various offenses being worse than Croom (Leach, Lebby, Moorhead, and even Barbay), they clearly don’t remember games like this: 146 yards of offense, 6 interceptions. It was so bad that Archie Manning called Henig after and told him to keep his chin upReminds me of this all time bulldog performance that I don't think will ever be matched

That box score is staggering. We had almost as many turnovers as we had first downs! And that’s not even the worst offensive performance of the Croom era! Maybe only third worst.Reminds me of this all time bulldog performance that I don't think will ever be matched

selecting the worst performance of the Croom Error is like picking out your favorite child, almost impossible. That box score is staggering. We had almost as many turnovers as we had first downs! And that’s not even the worst offensive performance of the Croom era! Maybe only third worst.
And we actually had two future NFL players on that offense. That box score is staggering. We had almost as many turnovers as we had first downs! And that’s not even the worst offensive performance of the Croom era! Maybe only third worst.
Who was the white safety we had that got blown up on a punt return? Zach Smith? When people talk about various offenses being worse than Croom (Leach, Lebby, Moorhead, and even Barbay), they clearly don’t remember games like this: 146 yards of offense, 6 interceptions. It was like Croom TRIED to handicap the offense. It was absolutely criminal what he did on offense. When people talk about various offenses being worse than Croom (Leach, Lebby, Moorhead, and even Barbay), they clearly don’t remember games like this: 146 yards of offense, 6 interceptions. I was at all of those games, including Maine. There is no depth lower than where Croom took the offense. Thanks for reminding me just how bad it can get. It helps me appreciate the team we have today.I found two that might be worse. In the 3-2 game against Auburn, we had 116 yards and six first downs. In Croom’s final game, we had 24 total yards, including -64 yards rushing. NEGATIVE 64 yards rushing! Ole Miss had 22 first downs. That’s right, OM had almost as many first downs as we had total yards. That was a fitting conclusion to the Croom error.
