Tyler the worst coach ever at MSU in any sport. Bragan was close (due to lack of coaching ability) as were others but Tyler the absolute worst. A narcissistic dictator.

KB21 has a WWRPD? bracelet. On the bottom it probably says "Leave him in for one more batter.", "Don't bunt." and "Don't steal."</p>

also were on teams that were being investigated by the NCAA.

I don't know about Tyler being the worst coach we ever had. My opinion may be becuase of what has recently happened, but I really want to say Polk II was at least the worst hire we have ever had just because of where the program was when he took over vs. when he left, plus the potential aftershock of his campaign for his successor and the potential effect that could have on our coaching search.</p>

on the football field . If he had gone to UM like Vaught wanted we could still be stuck in the rut we were in in the sixties. Tyler also was intrumental in starting the Bulldog Club. (see their PO box #) He had plenty of short commings but NO WAY the worst.

If he was such a quality coach, please refer to the articles where his great career is extolled. No he ran the state parks and recreation dept.

I lived through the lies and open dishonesty of Tyler. Reminds me of Bill Clinton looking directly into the camera lying, with no regard for anyone other than himself. If he was so great, why did he never get a quality job? Because with the passage of time, his legend becomes fuzzy and people like you annoint him with sainthood.

from being the worst coach in MSU football history? that's all I was responding to.... winning is important... what specifically did he lie about that creates this attitude? sure he was power hungry....he wanted it all..maybe that's why he didn't move on... prolly was a little tough to land somewhere after he was caught up in a probation situation with MSU..

so did Jackie at A&M by the way

I'll go out on a limb and assume that raffo is also your man right now....

No, I personally lean towards the Virginia coach right now. And I have no problem with McDonnell if a true search is made. I went to the CWS last year and his team was impressive hitting the ball.
I knew many FB players at the time and all told of the rules broken under Tyler. I have no use for a man who jeopardizes my university for his own personal gain (the Guillard restraining order from a favorable state court judge).
We will just have to agree to disagree.

gave us a glimpse of how the other half lives and stoked our appetite for success to the point that we wanted to do something about it . They both knew how to get the job done at a cost that some can`t stomach. I personally had a lot of fun when both of them were kicking ***.

He was doing the same things that Vaught and Bryant were doing in general, which was cheating, and I guess he thought, "Hey, everyone does it, and gets away with it, I can to." So, I guess his mistake was assuming that he had as much clout as Vaught and Bryant.

The reason he couldn't land another coaching job outside of North Texas and Millsaps was because he was black balled by the NCAA.

I always thought that it was "blue balled." The off the record resume had him in some FREQUENT and VERY compromising situations with secretaries and asst coaches' wives.

Thus the narcissistic power hungry diagonosis of another poster. He was not pleasant to be around ... and you always had to know that it was about HIM.</p>
