She brought up coaches like Urban Myer and Kirby Smart in regards to their record against Top 5 opponents without acknowledging the reason for their records. Those coaches always had superior talent. When is the last time Franklin has led us against a Top 5 opponent where we had superior talent? I'll wait right here.

If you look at the recruiting rankings of the 4 remaining teams we have the least amount of talent (on paper). I think everyone is looking at this wrong. Franklin has done more with less than those other coaches. As the Booger Eater said, they all started on 3rd and everyone acts like they hit a triple.

This game and these CFPs could be just the springboard to start attracting the kind of top end talent that will allow Franklin and Penn State to be able to stand toe to toe with the other Top 5 programs. WE ARE!

Funny thing how the media moves the line for CJF. He's won 10+ 3 straight years, is in the national semi's after 2 W's and somehow he still gets zero respect. It used to be get to the final 4 so now he has to get to the MNC game to move the needle.

They're not the ones that invited him to their precious FF. He kicked the door down himself.

He can’t win a big game to save his life.

How many chances does he get? 25? 35? 50?

His failure to recruit and develop even one serviceable WR on team like Penn State?

Well, this is what you get.

It is beyond time….

He had better talent tonite. They played hard and well. Drew was pretty bad.

Oline was great. RBs too. Tyler was Tyler.

Result? Same old same old?

Us 1980s guys are spoiled, but I remember when we won almost all these tough games. Now? One in over a decade. Maybe two if you can Wisconsin CCG. That is not nearly enough for Penn State. Maybe in one year? But not 10+.

Thanks Sandy!

I agree 100% PSU had the more talented team tonight.

This game was a game that COULD have been won and SHOULD have been won.

Instead, we beat ourselves and gifted ND the game.

I can live with teams beating PSU…..I just get sick to my stomach when PSU beats thenselves.

Lack mental toughness.

Used to be the cornerstone of Penn State football. Now the polar opposite.

Who sets the culture?

Time for a change.

Sort of, but not really. Deep into the first half it was obvious that our O-Line was pushing their D-Line around allowing our RB’s to pick up 1st downs on almost every play. But those were long drawn out time consuming drives. When their back up QB came into the game he provided a spark and blueprint for the ND coaches. In the second half the ND coaches made adjustments. Coach Franklin needed Beau Pribula in the worst way last night.

I think he needs to beat a big name team to get more respect. SMU, Boise don't qualify. So, along comes a team like ND, and what do they do --- find a way to lose as always. How many "big name" teams did they beat this year? Answer: None. (USC doesn't count, because they were terrible this year)
