Ok guys,

Bulldogs at the Bin has turned into a pretty big deal. It is easy to see that this round table discussion is a good time and could turn into big things.

The question has been asked... why not have one in Jackson on Monday afternoon?

I agree, why not?

Would you guys in the Jackson area be interested in being involved if I could set everything up for Monday afternoon/evening?

If the response if pretty good then I think this would be a go! Let me know your thoughts on the best time and locations...keep in mind I get off the air at 4:00 so anytime after that would be fine. Also, I would like to wrap things up by 8:00 so I can get back to Starkville at a reasonable time.

Let me know and we will see what happens.

And I'll throw in my token vote for Fenians.

Or perhas the Junction could give a nod to SPS and host the first one at George Street.

Did it close aGAIN?

Hell, I thought Martin's was closed, too. I've been to Fenian's or the Brookshires on Lakeland to get all my alcohol in the past year or two.

Third time closed in last 4 years or so.

Two brothers owned it, but sold it and moved to Memphis, they made some $$ on that sale.
Lady bought it b/c her ex-husband used to own it and owns the lot next door that was used for parking.
He got pissed at her and would not let anyone park in his lot, she did not get any good bands and lost $$.
Some guy from Clinton re-opened and tried to get some good bands every night of the week, but lost his ***.
Now it is closed again.

Only way to make money there is to get a good lunch and dinner crowd with really good food.
Then book a band on Friday and Saturday nights only and you make cash off the bar.

especially when they had a good band. It had the perfect setup. If you get tired of the the band or the loudness, you just come downstairs and chill. And there was always an abundance of liberal minded chicks there, which made it easy pickins.

Give me enough lead time and I might be able to get away/make arrangements. If this is something you're planning on doing this coming Monday, my chances are very slim.
