Gamecock men's tennis competed in the ITA indoor championships this weekend in NYC hosted by Columbia. It was the top 16 teams in the nation who qualified.

Match #1: 4-1 loss to #10 Texas A&M. This was a disappointing result and a surprise. I did not think A&M was that good this year but we got blasted in singles.

Match #2: 4-2 win over Arizona State. Good bounceback win after a marathon doubles point W to give us the momentum.

Match #3: 4-0 loss to #3 Texas. We had to play Texas who was was sent into the loser's bracket after they were stunned by #14 Arizona in the first round. It was a sound beating we took.

4-5 on the season now. The bloom is off the rose from when we were ranked #2. Now we have to battle ton stay above .500 for the season.

Disappointing start to the season for sure. Need C.T. back. Big mistake allowing him to play doubles early in the season.

Toby needs to step up. He looked nearly unbeatable near the end of last year. He's struggling to keep the ball in play this year. If he gets back into form and we get C.T. back at 100% (which looks unlikely), we'll be fine. Lots of ifs.
