I've noticed that all year. Would bug the hell out of me to have those things in my back pockets. It almost drives me crazy just to see him doing it.
It becomes part of a guys uniform in their head. If they constantly fell out, then it would bug me.
I knew two guys who had batting gloves hanging out their back pockets which they never used. They would actually go to the plate with both gloves in their pockets. One of those guys used one glove and the other didn't use gloves at all when he hit.

DJ and Lo posted today saying "thank you Starkvegas", etc. So far Mershy hasnt been one too. Ive been told he stays.
He’s staying unless he gets drafted really high which he isn’t projected to be
The two guys who will be 1st / 2nd round draft picks would be the ones saying that. Mershon’s a great player, but he isn’t in that stratosphere.
Still might be gone though, depending on various factors.
Not the least of which being that the vast majority of his team will be somewhere else next season. I could see a guy like him being coaxed into returning if next year was going to be a run it back type of season, but it will the polar opposite of that
It’s not impossible that Mershon and Hines come back. We’ll for sure lose DJ, Jurrangelo, and Khal. Several others have used up eligibility. But we may bring a little bit back.
To help derail a positive thread, I can’t be the only person that noticed Mershon’s strange shoulder swing habit. Early in the year i thought he was just doing it leading off of 1st like he was getting ready to dive back to the bag. But watching all year he did it all the time. Like he was about to start that floss dance.
I think we need a new coach. I think there are better coaches out there we could get. But with that said he earn another season. This team was his rebuild team after the NC run. Who is coming back? Is it going to be another two years in building another average team and we go back to another regional? This is his team. These are the guys he recruited. He has to get better at that part if he wants another season after next season.
