I'm Calming Pessimistic now because I'd been Neutral Pessimistic for years.

Mostly calming neutral with a bit of neutral pessimistic for me.

I could easily see an Apathetic category. Something like this:

Optimistic Apathetic - I thought things would be different this year and I might watch a game before the Egg Bowl. Oh well.

Neutral Apathetic - We played on Saturday? I miss the OT threads.

Pessimistic Apathetic - I don’t watch because MSU will never be as good as they were with The Kang. When does the road to the NIT start for the basketball team?

Am usually calming optimistic, but reading all the kneejerk raging pessimists posts after each loss pushes me to ragey.

Havent posted much about that until this past Saturday, but it is just so annoying to see that **** when it seems way too early or based on shallow reads.

With JoMo it was obvious early on and absolutely warranted. But he inherited one of our best teams ever and not only wasted it, but destroyed all our program momentum.

CML is a far superior coach than JoMo was.

We need a square for 40 something year old adults who feel the need to comment on a 17 year old's Twitter feed.

During the course of the average MSU football season, I generally run the gambit between true neutral, neutral pessimistic and calming pessimistic.

Where does "I finally realized I'm getting angry over a bunch of 18-22 year olds

chasing a ball around a field which is kind of ridiculous when you think about it mood" fit in? I've about checked out of college football with the NIL, transfers, and gobs of money being thrown around not to mention hurry-up no-huddle offenses. I miss the style of football from the 80's and 90's. Reduce the number of scholarships, limit the number of transfers, and figure out the NIL garbage and maybe I'll start caring about it again. Am I the only one that feels this way?

Makes sense. I’m a neutral pessimistic, but I’ve found myself on the ragey side a few times

You're not the only one. Other than Mississippi State, I can't make myself even care at all about any other college football game. I mean, I hope Mississippi loses, but I really don't care that much if they win.

I also miss the 12-team SEC and the Big East being a major football conference.
