Michigan football under NCAA investigation

Michigan received its Notice of Allegations from the NCAA tonight. Four Level II charges & one Level I. Level I charge is against Harbaugh for failing to cooperate with investigators regarding contact with two prospects during the COVID-19 dead period:

My parents are from PA. So even though I was raised in Columbia, we were a PSU house, so I grew up a pretty big PSU/Paterno fan. Because of that, I acquired a hatred for UM and OSU after PSU joined the Big 10. I still hate OSU. Definitely not a Michigan fan, but I do like Harbaugh for the aforementioned reason.

I grew up in an OSU house. I have the same hatred towards Michigan. I have been down here since 90 and have grown a hatred for all big 10 schools including OSU.

You ever talked to all their condescending fans????? An arrogant ND crowd before our bowl game came over and one guy has a megaphone talking to individual gamecocks about changing teams. The icing on the cake was, “we hear yawl have a pretty good little team…..”. Every year…..and I’ve been to em all…..Michigan, Ohio state…..4 and 0 in bowls against them makes me feel better. The worst part…..I was sitting in a chair doing a crossword puzzle and over comes this crowd.

Yes, those boys from Maryland, Iowa, Indiana, Northwestern and Illinois are just unbearable.

Umm, ND in not, and has not been in the B!G. It's been in all the papers, don't know how you missed it.

So you went from B1G fans are arrogant, to "has anyone talked to their fans", to a ND fan with a megaphone, to "I've been to "em all" (games, schools ?), and now they're yankees.

Lived in Ohio for over 10 years....went to graduate school and law school there. Ohioans are just as friendly as any place I've been here....and I grew up in small town SC. Columbus Ohio is great....the German District and the Short North are great areas to drink and have a nice meal. It's nice to be home in SC but I really enjoyed living in Dayton and Columbus and still get up there every couple of years.

It's remarkable how some people fall back on stereotypes to label others . I spent 3 1/2 years in the Cambridge/Boston area during my college years. Some of the nicest and most down to earth people I met were NE natives. One couple in particular took pity on their son's (starving)roommate and essentially adopted me as one of their own. A very typical "yankee" Italian couple, that just opened their hearts and home to me.
There is good and bad wherever you go, either in the US or abroad. If you go looking for bad, then that's what you will find, if you go in open to new experiences, you may very well be richly awarded.

I think you're being a little argumentative, Harvard.

We're talking about hatred of sports teams on a sports forum- does it need to be rational? I hate Clemson passionately . . . just because. It's even possible for me to say their fans are awful while simultaneously having some very good friends who happen to be Clemson fans. It's OK for us to hate a team or even an entire conference (in a sports sense) without being called out as xenophobes.

For what it's worth, a general hatred for the Big 10 is not unusual among Gamecock or SEC fans. Why? I don't know. But I know it makes college football more fun.

7-10 years too late. Back then it would have meant something. Today hardly worth noting. NCAA been busy with important stuff like giving cookies to recruits or writing welcoming letters to kids who signed sch. while still foolishly holding the line on ameture status( head in the sand up to their a**) and not allowing transfers without sitting out a year. Times passed the NCAA by.

Good response, it was measured, to the point, and did not fall back on lazy stereotypes.
At least you acknowledge that you hate B1G, just because.

My issue with Cocky, was just he was not only was he all over the place, but targeted B1G fans as being arrogant, without any examples, except for an ND fan, which as we all know it not in the B1G.
