He did win the ACC, but they were missing the NCAA Tournament if he didn’t win it. He’s still gotta put a few good seasons together. VT has been a decent basketball program the past 10 years.
Of that list, Marshall is the only one I wish we had hired. Beamer is doing good so far and we’ll see what happens with Chadwell. Lee if FINALLY having a decent year at Clemson, and Young wasn’t even close to the radar when we hired Frank Martin.
You are right; just wanted to point out that there are South Carolina coaches that have recruiting contacts in the state and potential that should be explored.
News flash, Mike Young got no traction recruiting in state. It wasn’t till he made the decision to recruit primarily in the Midwest that better talent starting coming to Wofford.
Honestly, I've said it before and I'll have to say it again, how good they are is way more important to me than where they are from. Make the program attractive and we'll get whom we are supposed to get.
