This bunch has said publicly that they are going hard after State/Mississippi/Southern Miss guys. What I like is that they are shortening the season to about 4 to 5 months. And, they will work with locals to have multiple events at the park during the season. Obviously, there will be a lot more entertainment events outside the baseball season. I think the set up will end up working well. Now whether the baseball is of a quality that is entertaining remains to be seen.
I think all are very good moves. I'm a lot more likely to go see a team with several former Bulldogs than a team with a bunch of players I've never heard of. And the overlaps with college baseball and football are going to kill their attendance, so limit those as much as possible with the 4-5 month season. Still a long shot if this team and league is still around 5 years from now, but at least they're making good decisions that might work.
