yeah, I played D1 baseball and minor league baseball a couple of years ago. Are you a current player? If so, and I mean this with all due respect, get off the computer and hook up the Hit-Away to the bunk bed.

Nope, I was offended by being asked to walk-on. So I went to Starkville to become a drunk and tin gym regular

If pickup basketball games at the Sanderson Center counts.

BTW, I could beat Wesley Morgan in a game of horse. I watched that guy shoot by himself one day and he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I guess being 7'2" is all you need to get a roster spot. Unless you're Joseph Iupe.

I'd like to defend a fan's right to criticize a player/players. If players don't want to be criticized, then they have two options: 1) don't play in the SEC or 2) don't suck. SEC sports (and D1 sports period) is just a step below the pay for play leagues. Consider it training for what will happen if you do get lucky enough to get paid for what you do.

If players are sensitive to criticism, I suggest playing D-2 sports and working on a degree in something, or just quit sports and work on your degree, because they obviously can't handle what it would take to continue playing for pay.

When Papelbon blows a save in Boston, I'll bet he doesn't receive a pat on the back and a "you'll get em next time" from Red Sox fans. Players get criticized for not making plays. That's just the way it goes.
