I think you’re going to see a lot more of this. With NIL and the portal teams are just one year snapshots. For whatever reason teams are going to miss from time to time but it will only be for one year because the next team is all new. There’s very little continuity for teams to build on, every season is new and stands alone. This is happening in football as well but it’s more visible in basketball because of the size of the roster.
