Player mistake(s)
1) WC's gotta stop staring down his receivers
2) 1 play before the 3rd INT, if WC leads the receiver, it's a TD
3) A college player doesn't have to be "prepared" in order to avoid late a hit out of bounds
4) A college player doesn't have to be "prepared" in order to forego trying to field a punt that's over his head
5) A college player doesn't have to be "prepared" in order to cover the ball w/2 hands once you hit traffic on a return
6) A college player doesn't have to be "prepared" in order to resist holding an opponent on a reverse. Get in front of the guy and block him! (Resulted in wiping out a ~80 yard run.)
7) With less than 2 minutes in a half, you MUST be able to grind out a first down.
8) Bell drops an open pass on our last(?) drive. (And the thing is, I saw many passes completed last night that were not completed over the last 4 years.)
Coaching mistakes:
1) A coaching staff shouldn't abandon (for the 2nd straight season opener) the game plan just because we're down by less than a TD
2) Calling AD's # on many running plays toward the outside was... a poor decision.
Ref mistake(s):
The call for the late hit in the secondary should be used as a training video when "not to call" a penalty. - Oh, and the refs did not cost us the game.
I hope we got that stuff out of our system!</p>
