Coming into the game, the talk was about our horrifically porous pass D managing to containing Mizzou's passing offense, which had shown a propensity for explosive plays. They certainly had some of that, with Burden's long TD, but they really won this game on the ground. Coming into the game, our rushing D was semi-respectable (in the overall context of our atrocious D). They were right about middle of the pack nationally in rushing yards allowed and Mizzou was right about middle of the pack in rushing yards/game with 140 and yards/rush with 4.0. We gave up 220 yards total and 5.4 ypc. Only other games this season they ran the ball nearly was much were against South Dakota and MTSU.

Their RB, Schrader, had a career-best day in yardage. That's 3 times in the last 4 games an offensive player has a had a career-best day against our D (Rogers, Mertz and now Schrader).
