That's the main reason I'm not really worried about the football atmosphere. Just win and it's fun again.Winning cures just about everything in sports, including empty seats.
Had a Reb friend of mine tell me condos around the square can rent for $3k/night during football weekends. Considering the source I don't know if that's BS or not probably easy to check **** Regardless, only winning creates that demand. He did mention the LED lights were a big draw though ****That's the main reason I'm not really worried about the football atmosphere. Just win and it's fun again.
It’s not. My daughter is at Arkansas and ironically her best friend and sorority sister is from Oxford. Her parents own a bed and breakfast in Oxford that rents out for $50k for SEC games in the guest bedrooms and old quarter houses. The father told me he has friends from Tx that typically rent all the rooms.Had a Reb friend of mine tell me condos around the square can rent for $3k/night during football weekends. Wow! TX money bleading over into the SipIt’s not. My daughter is at Arkansas and ironically her best friend and sorority sister is from Oxford. I want to believe this, but somewhat-arguing against it are Mullen's comments from 2009 where he banged the drum to get fans in the seats first. That's the main reason I'm not really worried about the football atmosphere. Just win and it's fun again.
There's a flaw in your plan. That's the main reason I'm not really worried about the football atmosphere. Just win and it's fun again.
If you spent much time in Oxford during school time then you’d notice that your seeing just about as many Texas tags as Mississippi tags. Georgia is a very distant third.Had a Reb friend of mine tell me condos around the square can rent for $3k/night during football weekends. I know a family here in SE Houston that sent their boys to Oxford. They're your typical OOS douches that seem to flock there. Grades weren't good enough to get into UT or TAMU but their parents have more money than they know what to do with. So, of course, Oxford is the greatest place on earth to them...If you spent much time in Oxford during school time then you’d notice that your seeing just about as many Texas tags as Mississippi tags. It's always been the case for football.I want to believe this, but somewhat-arguing against it are Mullen's comments from 2009 where he banged the drum to get fans in the seats first.

I'm actually in TX so quite familiar with the pipeline to Oxford. Unless you are a serious academic student you're probably not getting into UT or aTm. SMU, Baylor and Rice are crazy expensive which kinda leaves Tech. Tech people are great and very similar to our fan base but Lubbock is on the Dark Side of the moon. Fun town but West Texas is well West Texas. Mine ended up at UPig where they waive out of state tuition for a decent GPA. TX students are blowing up UPig too. We need to go after that TX money. If you spent much time in Oxford during school time then you’d notice that your seeing just about as many Texas tags as Mississippi tags. Any chance they thought it was the real Oxford?I know a family here in SE Houston that sent their boys to Oxford. They're your typical OOS douches that seem to flock there. Considering their grades weren't good enough to get them into UT or TAMU, I guess there's a distinct chance of that. **Any chance they thought it was the real Oxford?
