That portal number is what jumps out at me. It's hard to quantify the crazy change the immediate eligible transfer has had on college sports.

If they had just passed NIL, I don't think things would have changed so much. But these transfers, and their impact, totally blow up the school loyalty thing, and that, or the illusion of that, is what made college sports so great for so long. That's where the NCAA really messed up.
