Bet you don't like EV either and find joy on every single bad news story.
Imagine if everyone posted all the bad news stories from internal combustion engines.

It's like people that cheer when anything somewhat socialist has issues. Imagine all the stories that could be linked to capitalisms miss-steps.

I hate you are all up in your feels. All he did was post a link. And for the record, I'm a fan of anything that is decentralized. Including crypto. Fix yourself an AM bloody mary and relax.

I suspect his is just tired of the years of being told directly, or implied, that he is stupid if he isn't investing in crypto. Then of course, they disappear completely when the whole systems appears to be melting. Hopefully everyone on here got in at fishwater levels and is still fine, but some people will pay a price.

It can happen in stocks too. I got Worldcom at a crazy low valuation, and the CFO had cooked the books. I see very little difference in that and the FTX debacle, except with crypto, you don't really have any normal accounting methods to determine if there are "good" fundamentals for the investment.

It's funny how people who so desperately try to appear to have moral superiority are always the first to use sweeping generalizations to attack anything they don't like.

Some people are able to realize that just about all things lie somewhere between 0% good and 100% good.

Now compare that dollar amount to global crime in traditional fiat paper currencies. Let me know which number is bigger.
This was NOT meant as a comparison at all, where did you read that ? Right, you didn't anywhere. It was meant to highlight words in the article i.e. "record $20bln in 2022", "companies targeted by U.S. sanctions skyrocketed", "cryptocurrency market floundered in 2022", "various crypto firms collapsed", "Investors were left with large losses", "overall crypto transaction volumes fell", "value of crypto transactions related to illicit activity rose for the second year running". If you don't want to comment on that, then STFU

You got even more upset than the BTC bros. I guess everybody has their allegiances.

I was gonna give this post a like, but feared that would indicate 100% agreement and thus invalidate itself.

“Crypto” is a scam. “Blockchain” is a scam. “DeFi” is a scam. “NFTs” are scams. Whatever they come with next will be a scam.

Save with bitcoin over the long term. Hold the keys to your bitcoin. Manage risk with allocation. DCA to protect against volatility. It has never not worked.

Nope, to clarify, what is the dang point in even posting something about Crypto. You were either smart enough to make your money and get out, never invest in it in the first place, or used it as a hedge. This passive aggressive sissy move of posting something like, I am better than you and I was right all the time BS has to stop. It is the root issue in the public discourse. Now, the OP had no comment really attached, but we all know what it is. Weak Gaslighting.

Post such as this and the entire "Gotcha" cycle everyone has been in is just ********.

Exactly, a lot of people do. They have nothing to do with it, except it for some reason gets beneath your skin. Those were the two last posts on this board in the Weak *** Passive Aggressive series of post.

I'm kinda funny like that. Making bad investments have always gotten "beneath my skin".

I never invested in crypto because it fundamentally doesn't make any sense to me. That doesn't mean it's senseless, just that *I* don't get it. It seems like most people invest because everyone is investing, and that's a poor way to spend your money.

If crypto was backed by something, that'd be one thing. But it's basically backed by hype and all the value is based on people investing in it. At least U.S. currency is backed by a full economy and 4 branches of the military that can blow **** up.

US Currency is really only backed by the fact that other people believe it has value and will trade goods for that value. And eventually that won't mean anything anymore, like every government backed currency in history.

But luckily the rest of the world governments are bigger basketcases than we are for now, so it'll probably be good for the rest of most of our lives.

.
People believe it has value because it's backed by the full faith and credit of the US government. Which most certainly has value.

Until it doesn't. And that day will come. Without a doubt.

There's a reason our money used to be backed by or contain precious metals. It's not because people trusted the full faith and credit of a government, it's because they didn't, because history told them not to. And that lesson will be learned many more times.

There are a lot of people in tech who find crypto to be bullshіt but are in favor of EVs. I'm a crypto skeptic and will be on team EV once we reach the tipping point.

Only 20B? Seems like a missed opportunity for criminals considering the transaction fee is the same whether you’re sending 20$ or 20B$ and it settles nearly instantly in a public ledger. Chase and other banks believe it has a use case

Y'all should all invest in crypto and buy as much gold as you can. Mine ethereum. Invest in any company building a wall along our southern border with Mexico. The stock market is for losers. Don't even think about mutual funds like that moron Dave Ramsey suggests. Buy scratch off lottery tix too.***

And who would trust the U.S.? What has the U.S. ever done other than creating the most dynamic economy ever in history and providing a standard of living never seen before. But besides that...

What will work is going to the casino with a lot of money. Enough to sustain what to do. Go to roulette table. Start with 10.00 and put it on red. If you win pull back the winnings and let the 10.00 ride. If you lose double down to 20.00 on red. If you lose again double down to 40.00. Eventually you will win money back but then the wheel will hit red for several times, just keep pulling your winnings back and let the 10.00 ride. Don't worry about the green. Consider it black for all practical purpose. You will get a free hotel room. They will want their money back. Or you could put all your savings, 401K money, all your retirement, everything you own on red. You will either jump with a lot of joy or you will throw up. ***********
