You guys may remember the comments this asshat-Indiana fan made right around bowl season regarding the dawgs. Here's his latest regarding the hoops team. Response suggestions welcome:

Since your phone evidently doesn't alllow return calls I fiqured I would send you a e-mail. Your Bulldogs have a chance to be the first SEC team to make the big dance without beating ONE NCAA tournament team. Unless of course they allow Kentucky in since they only lost to Gardner-Webb by 16, N Carolina by 9, Indiana by 19, UAB by 3, Houston by 14, San Diego by 9 and Louisville by 14 which helped them post a impressive 6-7 non conference record with wins against Central Arkansas, Liberty, Texas Southern, Stony Brook, Tennessee Tech and Florida International. I guess if every team plays 16 games in conference somebody has to end up 12-4 which must mean they are deserving !!!

with Sampson and that whole deal. He probably hasn't seen us play. I wouldn't pay any attention to him.

Tell him you wouldn't return his call because you figured he was already over his alotted number of calls per NCAA rules and didn't want to get him in trouble.

Oh, and I would almost swear that at least 1 out of Arkansas, Florida, and Ole Miss get to the dance.

Be sure to ask him how that Big 10/ACC challenge went yet aGAIN this year.

the big 10 is 0-4 in its last 4 national championship games against the sec. (it could actually be worse than that).

It's a shame we didn't get to pad our conference record with 9 games against Northwestern, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan and Penn St.

What happened to Illinois? They were in the national championship game just three years ago and now they aren't even sniffing .500 in a pretty weak conference (at least the bottom half is weak).

That's conjecture. Please explain to me statistically why the SEC 3 are better than the Big 10 3.

Are the SEC 3 & Big 10 3 the six teams with the best conference records? Tennessee, MSU, & Kentucky for the SEC and Wisconsin, Purdue, & Indiana of the Big 10.

Or

Are they the six teams with the best RPI ratings? Tennessee, Vanderbilt, MSU for the SEC and Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Indiana of the Big 10.

Edited to add: Or do you have another method in mind?

Michigan - 182 RPI
Iowa - 185
Northwestern - 215

Alabama - 116
Auburn - 152
LSU - 160

All three Big 11 teams are at least 22 points below any of the three SEC teams you mentioned.

A better one would be: Alabama, Georgia, and Auburn, versus Illinois, Michigan, and Northwestern (the bottom three teams for each conference).

Two statistical examples:
Combined conference record: SEC 3: 13-35 .271; Big 10 3: 11-43 .204
Record & percentage vs. Top 100 (overall): SEC 3: 8-33 .195; Big 10 3: 6-39 .133

That's just not right at all vh dawg. Michigan did play Vanderbilt a year ago.

....and one of the problems we had when searching for what eventually became La Tech and MTSU was that we found out that the Big 10 schools all decided not to play SEC schools anymore, because we tried to contact some of them.

I guess you missed my sarcasm. Michigan playing Vanderbilt isn't exactly what you'd call "manning up."
