So does every Ivy League school, Vanderbilt, Tulane, SMU, and countless other small enrollment schools with no sports history. But that’s endowment money, not for intercollegiate athletics. College sports have to generate some form of a profit, and pay for themselves. You can’t just write a check from the endowment to pay coaching salaries or expand your football stadium. That’s not at all how it works.
