But I think a big reason this board gets the "negative" tag is because Gene won't allow negativity, so for awhile this was the only place to be negative.

Really, it's too bad that this site doesn't get labeled as the most honest website- sans bulldawgjunction- about MSU sports, at least that's what attracted me to this board.

And my rough translation of the initial post is that the sixpack is known as a negative site but most have glass half full outlook on the season. Like we have always said about this board, we don't root for State to lose but if they do, it deserves to be talked about.

that a higher percentage of SPS posters actively support MSU athletics and regularly attend games than the posters of any other board. SPS posters are at various times smart, stupid, sarcastic, cynical, informative, full of ****,inquisitive, rumor starters, news breakers and ********. But the undeniable constant is they are ALWAYS passionate about MSU. And for your info if the glass is half full on SPS it`s because it probably had beer in it and non of these mofos are gonna sit and stare at a full glass of beer.

I personally attend basketball, baseball and football games. I miss SEC basketball games and the first half of baseball season, because of Audit and Tax prep season, but I get up there every chance that I get during the rest of the year. Having said that, I don't blindly support the team anymore. I lost the o gee golly attitude about the time that I arrived at State in 95. Why should I blindly throw away money, when I don't feel the A.D. cares? There has been a change here lately, which has me pumped for all three sports next year. I don't understand the attitude that if you are a fan of a team, you can never be negative. You would have to be a naive fool to continuously blow smoke up your skirt about how the coach, players and athletic department is always doing the best that they can and things can never improve.
