How poetic. House needs to be cleaned. New Staff, New Players.
1. A successful baseball team needs to be strong up the middle. We need a stud shortstop, catcher and CF. Maybe Jordan could be the stud CF, but we don’t have a stud C and SS on the roster. Needs to be some roster purging, screw loyalty to upper classmen.
2. A 96 mph down the middle of the plate will be hit out of the park. That is the only way the majority of our pitchers can get a strike. We need pitchers that can locate splitters, change ups and breaking balls. We don’t seem to have any of those on the roster. Needs to be some
roster purging and starting over. Screw loyalty to injured pitchers and under performers. Stinnett, Hunt, Simmons, etc. these guys shouldn’t have been on our roster.
3. MSU has a housing problem. We overspent on a stadium. We need 7500 paying $40-60 a ticket instead of 12000 paying $10-20 a ticket. If we are going to have 12000 for Super Saturday, MSU needs to get that $60 a ticket, not ticketmaster. If all season tickets are sold out, that means the price was too cheap. Also need to ban coolers and beer. If you are going to eat or drink anything, you need to buy it from MSU or need to double-triple the lounge cost if grills -coolers are allowed.

Disagree here, stadium is awesome and ticket revenue goes to the school. Regarding beer and concessions, I think we need to explore the legality of farming that out to some sort of entity related to NIL. Revenue goes to the NIL then NIL funds goes to the players. No idea if that’s legal but somebody ought to look at it. A good way to divert funds that go to the athletic department into NIL if it can be done.

Won’t speak to #3 but 1 and 2 are dead on.

none of our players at ss c and cf would start at those positions at any other sec school. Ledbetter would slide to left and start the other two spot’s wouldn’t even start at other places.

loyality is what got him in this Jam. He was loyal all last year to his national championship guys and they underperformed. This year he relied on certain guys to all of a sudden be good played and it’s blown up in his face.

Thought it was just a dumb “club sport”. Why does it matter if we do or don’t do any of those things?

The stadium is so good and the atmosphere is so great it doesn't matter how good the team is "They built it and they come."

Ban Coolers, buy your Natty Light from MSU.
I don’t diasagree with your posts very often, but this is a horrible take.

Bringing your beer and meat to cook in the outfield is what makes MSU baseball special. It’s what makes people want to go to the games even when we will likely get run-ruled.

The money grab from the university that has been occurring the past 15-20 years is what is driving down attendance in the major sports.

Want to make money off of baseball? Hire a better coach that fields a better product. Honestly, we don’t even have to or need to make money off of baseball.

There are some nuggets here that could really ruin a great baseball program. Well done.

Not really. This year and after the lsu series last year baseball games have become a social event. No one is actually watching the games
$68 Million for an outdoor social event venue. That money would have been better spent on Football and Basketball.

That's my point. the team is no good but people are still coming to the games.

Yep. And its always been that way. Its hard to beat being outside on a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon or mild Friday evening while barbecuing, drinking your own beer, hanging with friends, and watching live college sports…..no matter how bad the team is. And in the GTR, its really not like there is much of anything better to do.

There are a handful of folks who drive a bit further, but most season ticket holders only travel 30-45 min to games. I would argue that weather and individual prior commitments have always had a much bigger impact on in-person attendance than how good or bad the team is. The TV ratings suffer when we are bad, but its college baseball. They are generally operating at a loss there anyway.
