What the Heck? I have NEVER Rooted for Ole Miss in an Egg Bowl EVER. You are just flat out lying sir.
I’m just going to address this once, On the night of the egg bowl win in 2022 you were on here complaining because you were mad that Leach won the game.
just go back and look in the archives. I don’t lie ,and I don’t care enough to lie about this anyway. Most Likely you are a dweeb who hated Leach because he was against masking during COVID and because he spoke at a Trump event.

you’re a big masker and you hate Trump, which is fine but not a reason to hate a football coach.

So many of y’all long for the days of Jackie when our offense would make your eyes bleed but our defense was good. Almost half of his seasons were losing seasons and he only won more than 8 games once. And that was when the SEC was at a low period. Let’s try that now and see how successful we are.

Leach's lack of defensive recruiting is THE reason the defense is as bad as it is right now. His recruiting offensive players to fit his niche system is why the offense struggles. Niche schemes are a disaster when there is a transition.
Why I was a fan of the Leach hire to begin with - long time to transition into and out of that scheme.

I’m fine with that, but you are going to have to spend $$ to get that. Those defensive players we always got years ago in State will be going out of state with nil money.
You still think we don’t have money when everyone in the know has repeatedly told you we are going to spend in the portal. They have told you we have the money to be aggressive in the portal. yet you still say we are going cheap, and that just isn’t true at all. Does that mean we will get all of them, no but we will get our fair share. We are having to recruit JUCOs for depth due to the lack of recruiting done in 21 22 and 23 especially on the OL and DL. This whole idea others are having success at other places in year one after a disaster like Lebby has is again false. One player on the OL is having a decent year at Vandy but no other OL is doing anything (Lewis isn’t anything special and is about equal to Pounders). Zero DL are contributing anywhere that transferred out.

Lebby gets a pass on evals in his first portal widow from last year due to not having much time, trying to hire a staff and recruit HS and his own inherited roster. But you can’t comprehend any of this because you think it’s an automatic move when a new coach is hired they should dominate the portal and dominate recruiting. You might share that opinion with maybe one person in the universe. Add to the fact you goat and others do nothing to help by giving to SEF, all you do is post garbage.

Bert tried that. Didn’t work back then, but maybe it possibly could in this era of parity.

One thing so many are forgetting…..it’s still advantageous to throw the ball, due to the space and the rules nowadays.
I'm fine with passing but it needs to be focused on high percentage completion routes and YAC. That was upside to me with Leach's system. It was basically a run based eat clock system disguised statistically with easy short completions.

Not many people understand, but Leach actually did this himself. Stout defense, and modified the Air Raid to be more ball control. It complimented the defense, and utilized the offensive players we had. And of course, Leach knew how to discipline and develop, which was good for the recruits we typically get.

Was Leach’s offense absolutely perfect for MSU? No. I’m with many of you when you say we need a running QB. But considering the advantages Leach gave you, you take that all day long. And no telling what a Chris Parson might could have done in the Air Raid. On the other hand, it might not have worked. QBs who can throw and run at an elite level are hard to come by, usually you have to choose a route to lean on.

Just another reason we should have gone with Fritz, Malzahn or Rich Rod. They were mature enough to know what to do.
And Leach adjusted his approach to running again and again over time. People would say he never adapted. Then he’d adapt, and they’d say “Wow, he finally adapted” for one week. Then they’d forget he adapted and start complaining again about how he never adapts. Then he’d adapt further. And the same response would happen over and over
