MSU Ladies Softball team upsets LSU in 9 innings 7-4.

18 players played. Aspen came in and got out of trouble and then closed it out. That should guarantee a 2 seed.
Its a good win, They get Tennessee in the quarterfinal, a team they took one from on the road in the regular season.
Softball ladies are pretty much guaranteed a 2 seed in a regional. Would love to be sent to Duke, Northwestern or Clemson instead of Oklahoma or a Pac 12 school like we are projected.
State is the only SEC team never to make a Super Regional, but they have played in a bunch of regional finals. Need to get over that hump this year. Only three teams run-ruled State this year - Oklahoma, UCLA and Tennessee.
Oklahoma is the consensus best team in the nation. They will be the team to beat.
Possible landing spots for State in a regional with RPIs
1. Oklahoma
2. Virginia Tech
3. Florida State
5. UCLA
7. Oklahoma State
9. Duke
10. Northwestern
11. Clemson
12. Arizona State
14. Washington
The other hosts will be SEC teams.

Will definitely be paying more attention to the NCAA softball tourney this year given our baseball team will be sitting home.
