Wasn't Jackie Sherrill dressed up as a clown on the cover? I remember that story (and picture) very specifically, but I cannot remember if it was on the cover or not.

Great article on "Bull" "Cyclone" Sullivan...the man so mean that he had two nicknames. At one time (and maybe still), the longest feature article in SI history.

As has been stated, we've never had a cover, but we were oh so close. Croom was supposed to be cover when SI ran their feature on him in April 2004. However, Mickelson just so happened to win the Masters that weekend causing them to put him on the cover.

They've been known not to skip putting the NBA champs on the cover when the champs were a not-so-marketable team.

SI has some good writers but I don't respect their direction at all.
