I normally pay attention to State golfers, but I completely missed.this happening. She hasn't been putting well lately so this is a shocker.

What a 17ing competitor. Not much doubt she's the greatest female golfer ever from Mississippi now...

Replay on golf channel at 6:30 if you wanna watch or save.

She went on a run of 5 straight birdies from 12 to 16 to lock it up. Still tight at the end.

31 on the back in the final round. 30 on the front (with a run of 6 straight birdies) in a 2nd round 64.

22 under in the inaugural Queen City tourney that has Kroger as a sponsor, so likely to be a big event going forward.

Current tour golfer from Mississippi, yes.

Mary Mills has three major wins so she’d get my vote for top ever women’s golfer from Mississippi.

Mills is the only reason I've never said it before. She had a seriously great career. Certainly much more decorated with the major wins and more wins, but the competition level was negligible compared to women's golf today. Truly a global competition. It was almost all Americans then.

They are far and away the best two.

As an example. Ally won the state boys championship in her class in HS. Mills was the #1 golfer on Millsaps men's team all 4 years.
