So, what exactly stopped Pitt from formally applying for the Big Ten when Big East football was floundering?

I read this somewhere else without verifying, but his only win as a head coach ever over a BIG team was against our 2016 team with no linebackers.

There's a reason the ACC champ was matched up with the 3rd place team in the BIG.

So Pickett would have kept them from giving up 31 points, 25 first downs, and 354 yards passing. I guess the Steelers D got a boost when they drafted him.
If he was able to play on D, his big paddle hands would block every pass ever thrown from the opposing team.

Right. "lets go".

Good luck Duzzy. Very unlikely that the B10 would want Pitt with their football team playing before high school "crowds"....

It's more likely that when the game of musical chairs is over there is no chair left for Pitt........

And didn't MSU have a player or two opt out of the game vs pitt.....

His thinking is that Pitt would have controlled the ball more, scored more and MSU would have less opportunities to score.

Pitt refused to join Paterno's proposed all sports conference for one reason: sheer greed. Pitt was raking in money from the then very lucrative Big East Basketball Conference while still collecting a nice pay day when the football team played at Happy Valley every other year. In short, Pitt wanted to have it's cake and eat it too. I will never understand those PSU fans who are supportive of playing Pitt in football. PSU has absolutely NOTHING to gain from playing Pitt in football while renewing the series would be a real coup for Pitt.

So a 20 point swing would be a 10 point victory for Pitt. Does he consider that "butts kicked in"? If so, MSU kicked Pitt's butts in. If not, he's thinking Kenny would have made more than a 20 point difference. OK.

Not for nothing, but didn't Penn State want the exact same thing, but in reverse? Split the basketball money but keep their football money?

Didn’t the running back from Michigan State as well as a bunch of others opt out of the bowl game?

I was just just telling my wife about narduzzi’s signature on his cuffs. I said that it’s not like he was Nick Saban or anything. She replied “if he was Nick Saban, he wouldn’t have to have have his name embroidered on his cuffs for people to know who he was”. Thats the girl I married!
Lol. Does his signature smear when he wipes his nose?

Reminds me of myself growing up. We couldn’t afford to buy the expensive ‘autographed’ line of sneakers like Dr Js, Jordans, Paytons, Drexlers, etc. I’d typically end up with clearance sneakers from the Eastbay catalog and I would use our electric wood burner and some pigmented foil to sign my own signature onto the sneakers. Limited. Editions.

I guess some football coaches don’t get paid enough to afford the high end clothes either.

Lay off the DUZZ, what do you expect him to say “The third place BIG team is better than the ACC champs”? While that’s true, such a statement won’t double PITT’S season ticket holders from 5 to 10.
Nardouche must be relieved that PITT won't have to play in a 2/3 empty HEINZ FIELD.:eek:
PITT 1-6 vs. Big 10 under the Douche.

“If that’s one of the best Big Ten teams, let’s go to the Big Ten and win it every year,”

Should be interesting watching his team flounder now that their one-hit-wonderkid QB, star WR, AND innovative OC (who he took a couple of sour grape shots at) are gone.

It will be hard for pitt to totally flounder this season given the cupcakes they play in the ACC together with lots of returning starters including all 5 olinemen. They also got the transfer QB Slovis who was a freshman AA at USC. Duzzy is a big talker, but he only has 1 season at pitt with less than 5 losses. Lets hope that WVU puts him in his place right off the bat.

Interesting that Mark Madden seems to have had enough of Duzzy's unfounded bragging, unrealistic assessments of Pitt's place in the college foorball world, his throwing the assistants that helped him achieve his meager success under the bus, and the rest of his unprofessional rants .....

Madden quotes Narduzzi’s Pitt record against non-ACC Power Five schools as 2-12, which includes his 1-3 record vs Penn State. Even losing 1 of the 4 games to Pitt is a black mark for PSU, but it took all of PSU's starting linebackers being hurt and a NFL caliber WR dropping a sure TD late in the game for Duzzy to get that win.
