Can’t support cheatersThink Washington wins because their coach has experience winning national championships at a lower division. He knows the formula. He knows what it takes.
But I am pulling for Michigan. Why? Harbaugh tried to be helpfull and encouraging to Marcus Lattimore after Marcus tried to make the NFL after his bad knee injury playing for us. And he had very nice things to say about ML when we were about to play Michigan in a bowl.
I understand. We all have our reasons. Can’t support cheaters
Same sentiment.Pulling for UW, but think Michigan will win.
Not that one.No idea who will win. Hopefully UM just so a traditional power gets it.
I was just telling my wife this morning (like she cared at all) that the CFB championship game was going to be tonight. I told her it was between Washington and Texas...... I feel that's fairly telling of my interest level.
I will watch at least some, and I'll be pulling against Michigan (cheaters, as noted above).
Not that one.
They're almost as contemptible as Notre Dame.Well, my first choice would have been Bama, since their success is what led to the CFP in the first place.
Second choice would have been UGA, just to tick people off that the SEC won it again.
As it is, UM is the last traditional power left standing.
Washington isn't most West Coast teams. They have a top ten NFL draft qb, three NFL WRs and an offensive line that won the award for best offensive line. If Washington loses it will be their defense that lets them down.Michigan usually has an SEC caliber defense and most west coast teams cant handle that so I'll take UM
their QB got battered....their receivers didnt do much of anything ....and their O-Line got pushed around....SEC defenses wins championshipsWashington isn't most West Coast teams. It's not even a question as of this morning.Michigan validated itself as the best team in the country during the final year of the superior CFP format. The inferior format begins henceforth.

I'm not understanding this theory. UGA lost to Bama, who then lost to Michigan, so how does UGA come back around to beat UM.I think UGA would have beaten them head-to-head, but that's hypothetical. Would have been an epic game I imagine.
New CFP format only increases the odds that you'll end up with inferior teams in the final game.

and round and round we go.Would Old Dominion have beaten UGA? UGA lost to Bama who lost to Texas who lost to OU who lost to Kansas who lost to Oklahoma State who lost to S. Alabama who lost to Louisiana who lost to ODU.
We lost to Florida who lost to Kentucky but then we beat Kentucky.
and round and round we go.
This still does not explain how UGA would have beat Michigan.
It doesn't have to. UGA could not even make the playoffs so the argument is moot, and so far you are the only one to propose this line of argument.Nor does it explain how Michigan would have beaten UGA.

Michigan proved on the field they are the best team this year. Anything to counter that argument is at best conjecture.
Since we are going for clarification, then I will refer back to my original post #28 where I clearly qualified that I was "not understanding this theory" that you had.Not to quibble, but if you go back to my post to which you are referring, I said "I think UGA would have beaten them head-to-head, but that's hypothetical," I clearly qualified it as a hypothetical which was my opinion.
If UM and UGA played and I had to bet $500 on it, It'd put it on UGA.
Is that to say UM didn't earn the title this year? Of course not. They clearly did. I am still free to think UGA would have beaten them, just as I am to think UGA would have beating ODU.
You're arguing against an argument I didn't make.

He doesn’t understand that. He said it’s hard to make an argument against Georgia being the best team. How anyone can arrive at that reasoning logically is dumbfounding. It doesn't have to. UGA could not even make the playoffs so the argument is moot, and so far you are the only one to propose this line of argument.
