Miami 20-27 Denver at 1:59 of 1Q. Denver is putting Jokic at the elbow and Gordon is just too strong for the defenders Miami is putting on him. Gordon with 12 points, Jokic with 6 assists. Miami is going to have to hit their 3s to have a chance to win, 2/6 on 3s after missing their last two.

M 27-39 D at 8:15 2Q. Uncle Jeff Green doing his thing, one of my favorite Hoyas. (My favorite Hoya ever is Jaren Jackson Sr, just saying.)

I’m not sure that Miami has the horses to hang with Denver. I think Phoenix had the best chance to beat the Nuggets this season.

Agree with NewEra, Miami doesn't have the horses. A late stage Lebron with a better version of Bam couldn't come close to beating these guys. Will be interesting to see if the refs give Miami more foul shot opportunities, only took two all game. That might keep the games closer.

You might be right, but note the same was said about the Celts-Heat. I'm not counting MIA out yet.

Nugs are fun to watch, just crazy how the national media doesn't want to give the Joker and the Nuggets the respect they deserve. Painful to even listen to the talking heads at espn anymore.

The Lakers series was the funniest. Refs call a phantom foul on the Nuggets and the ESPN/ABC announcers back the refs. Jokic gets hacked three or four times on a drive with no foul call, and the announcers praise the great defense being played by the Lakers.

Game 2: Denver 39, Miami 29, nine minutes left in the 2nd quarter

I‘m starting to think Denver laughs at Miami.

Denver up on Miami, 2 games to 1.

Game 4 happening now. Denver had a seven-point lead late in the 1st quarter, but the Heat got a case of the runs. Jimmy Butler gave Miami the lead with a 3 at the buzzer to end the 1st quarter.

End 1st: Miami 21, Denver 20

Denver is too good, pulling away late in the 4th quarter.

This isn’t the most talented Miami team that has ever played, but unless they are bringing their A+ game each night, it’s blow out city. Nuggets window to win it all will probably be open for the next few years.

In a game that is often dominated by one or two players, the Nuggets win because they are a great team.

The games have not produce the blowouts I envisioned but Denver is clearly the better team. No, the fat lady hasn't sung, but she's surely clearing her throat. I think Denver wins tonight by more than the spread which is 9.

Can't wait to hear the spinsters like Kendrick Perkins and Nick Wright when the best player in the world finally hoists that trophy, going to be tough for those boys to swallow.

I think the probability of tonight’s game being the last of the season is 1.

The Denver Nuggets are NBA Champions.

Final: Denver 94, Miami 89

Denver wins the series, 4 games to 1.

This wasn’t Denver’s best performance, but they were good enough tonight. The better team won.

A quick Nuggets story about my son:

A couple of years ago, my son and a few of his buddies took a road trip to see the Nuggets play in Milwaukee, where they were visiting another friend. The Nuggets won, and after the game the guys go back to the hotel bar. Nuggets coach Malone was there, and he sincerely thanks the guys for making the road trip to support the team. The boys start telling Malone BS stories, such as that they are wealthy ranchers from Colorado and always travel on their private plane to see the team, and everyone is laughing it up and having a good time.

My son gets coach Malone's autograph on his Jokic jersey, and Malone says "Hey, do you guys want to meet Nikola?" My son turns around and there is Nikola Jokic, who also signs the jersey. The boys then say their goodbyes to the coach and Jokic, who are heading out to get some food. After another drink, the guys decide to head out on the town. When they go to pay the bill, the bartender says that coach Malone already paid their tab.

Needless to say, my son and his buddies were glad to see the Nuggets win last night.
