Willie went ballistic right after the match, when it came out that the refs had told Nebraska that they were out of challenges. That was correct by the info they had from the table, but it turns out that it was inaccurate.

Below is an update on what took place, and the NCAAs admission of the mistake.

I could understand how the refs may have lost count of available bricks for Nebraska, like when’s the last time coach Manning Didn’t use all of their challenges 😉?
But seriously that’s a shame that happened to the Nebraska wrestler.

just to clarify, the refs don't keep track of that, as each team has X number of bricks for the tournament, and the refs are only working the matches assigned to them. The table informs the refs of the bricks available per team.

Another one in D3 national finals -- late 3rd locked hands call overturned on replay, sent the match to OT where the other guy won.

NCAA later told the coach that there was no replay evidence even showing the hands, let alone if they were locked.

The coach goes a little overboard with his speculation and his statements in the article. And we're only hearing his version of the story, which is unlikely to be the complete story.

With those caveats, it doesn't sound like a good situation.
