Coach's pitching decisions are beyond my comprehension.
If we were going to use Gainey as a starter, it should have been yesterday.

I was there. That call was reminisent of the time clock fix from way back in football.
I'm watching it on ESPN+What station are we on? If we are on..
Yeah, the last two years we have absolutely failed at finding enough guys that could throw strikes when you really need it.Just erks the crap out of me to lose the lead on freaking walks. Throw a strike for Pete’s sake and make them beat you. What’s more frustrating is he was bent on throwing the curve and every one of them just about bounced to the plate. If it ain’t working don’t throw it
Plus we pull off the ball on the outside pitch and the teams we play know it. FrustratingWell he made us like like idiots - and am I the only one who don’t understand why our batters stand so day away from the plate? No way they are gonna get close to hitting a slider standing so far away from the plate - that’s called coaching the hitters - he throws sliders - get closer to the plate
The pain won't end until Tanner and Kingston are gone. At least we will have a new start at that point. The pain will end tomorrow.
I was there as well. Clearly saw the ref throw the flag on the last play and pick it up and hurry off the field with his cohorts. It was disgusting.....We were robbed.
Still don’t fault Tanner for Holbrook hire. It was the logical move and right move at the time…it just didn’t work out as expected. Heard recently that Holbrook turned down the Tennessee job (which I remember happening) with the understanding he would take over for Tanner. That was before Tanner was even AD. He was supposed to be a can’t miss hire…it just didn’t work. Both hires Tanner has made with our baseball program have literally sucked - seems someone with his pedigree could find a coach that knows what he’s doing but it seems like he don’t want anyone who knows what they are doing
Hiring Holbrook was a natural decision to make.Still don’t fault Tanner for Holbrook hire. It was the logical move and right move at the time…it just didn’t work out as expected. Kingston on the other hand was a pretty big letdown. USF didn’t do anything special in his time there. I think we were all hopeful with the Kingston hire, but I think most of us were disappointed deep down that we couldn’t land an accomplished coach. I don’t know if O’Sullivan was really locked up before UF won the CWS and got new stadium promise or not. But we need a great hire that works out this time around.
Unfortunately, I think we’ll have to wait another year.
