Coach's pitching decisions are beyond my comprehension.

If we were going to use Gainey as a starter, it should have been yesterday.

NCSU is a hot, hot team with some nasty pitching. If we can hang an L on them, at their house, that would be something.

Just erks the crap out of me to lose the lead on freaking walks. Throw a strike for Pete’s sake and make them beat you. What’s more frustrating is he was bent on throwing the curve and every one of them just about bounced to the plate. If it ain’t working don’t throw it

Yeah, the last two years we have absolutely failed at finding enough guys that could throw strikes when you really need it.

Well he made us like like idiots - and am I the only one who don’t understand why our batters stand so day away from the plate? No way they are gonna get close to hitting a slider standing so far away from the plate - that’s called coaching the hitters - he throws sliders - get closer to the plate

Can’t do it anymore this team absolutely sucks at the little things - giving runs away is crap you do at the start of the season and not in a regional - absolutely no excuse for this team to be this clueless at this stage of the season

Plus we pull off the ball on the outside pitch and the teams we play know it. Frustrating

Our guys have watched this pitcher throw sliders low and still don’t have enough common sense to take a strike before swinging

I’m sorry guys but we will SUCK YEAR AFTER YEAR AS LONG AS KINGSTON STAYS - we continually beat ourselves and have no baseball IQ whatsoever- he makes the wrong calls - leaves pitchers in way to long and doesn’t have a clue how to manage a baseball game. How in the world did he ever land a head coaching job is beyond me

Both hires Tanner has made with our baseball program have literally sucked - seems someone with his pedigree could find a coach that knows what he’s doing but it seems like he don’t want anyone who knows what they are doing

This game was lost when Kingston refused to make Kennedy Jones bunt with no outs and runners on 1st and 2nd. If Jones can't bunt them over pinch hit. Instead he swings into a double play and the inning is completely wasted. Kingston is an idiot that can't make a "baseball" decision. No, we don't have a bullpen worth a crap. Yes, we are missing 38 homers from our lineup with injuries. But we were in a position to make something happen and our "manager" decided not to manage. He sucks!

Wake's coach will have some time on his hands tomorrow afternoon to field an intriguing phone call. Assuming Ray isn't in a diabetic coma...

Still don’t fault Tanner for Holbrook hire. It was the logical move and right move at the time…it just didn’t work out as expected. Heard recently that Holbrook turned down the Tennessee job (which I remember happening) with the understanding he would take over for Tanner. That was before Tanner was even AD. He was supposed to be a can’t miss hire…it just didn’t work.

Kingston on the other hand was a pretty big letdown. USF didn’t do anything special in his time there. I think we were all hopeful with the Kingston hire, but I think most of us were disappointed deep down that we couldn’t land an accomplished coach. I don’t know if O’Sullivan was really locked up before UF won the CWS and got new stadium promise or not. But we need a great hire that works out this time around.

Unfortunately, I think we’ll have to wait another year.

Agree on Holbrook and I was excited about the Kingston hire but the more I witnessed his coaching decisions or lack thereof - the faster I want him out - hate to say it but it wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all to lose in this regional which by the way - is not a super hard regional

Hiring Holbrook was a natural decision to make.
