Somehow I didn’t know that Mitch Jeter left us to go to Notre Dame? I heard them talking about how the kicker had a rough year with an injury but he’s been doing really well in the playoff. That was a good strong kick to finish the half.
Anyway, as far as the game goes: ND had a ton of injuries heading into this game, and so far this game they have lost two more OL and the QB. That’s not a good sign. But I’ll give Marcus Freeman credit…ND is playing hard in spite of all of that.

Nothing like having officials from the Big 10 conference to create suspicious calls for penn state. Not sure why they don’t use officials from another conference to not even give the appearance of favoring one team.
Jeter, really, couldn’t we have used him this year? Either way, winner of the next game is our National Champion

We could have used him three games worth. Kicking probably kept us away from 12 wins minimum.
That ACC schedule ain't that bad. Clemson,SMU, and Notre Dame got in playing it. Not as bad as you coots think. Maybe you should've stayed?? The SEC has brought you so many football championships.

The officials were from the Big 12.
So back to the topic at hand, was a great game, both teams sharing the moments of "Big Mo" on their side, punch, counter punch and then down to the final seconds.

Why the ND hate? They've mostly been irrelevent for the past twenty years. I think they made the playoffs once before this year and got waxed by Clemson. I am mostly neutral and prefer them over Ohio State. Their coach seems much more likable than Brian Kelly (prior ND coach) or Ryan DayAgreed - but I despise ND more. Raging level of despise.

It's money, they know that playing 5 ACC teams a year can get them.in. Don't be angry because Notre Dame, Clemson, and now SMU are just smarter that you! So just sit in Columbia and tout tbe SEC. It is getting you nothing. Win 9 games, beat your rival 2-3 out of every 10. Wow we are scared
Didn't say they were. They play 5 ACC games a year and it got them tbe 5 seed. My point is the ACC was good enough to help put 3 in the 12. Look at Notre Dames SOS. It wasn't that great, but tbey are 1 of the 2 standing.
In a word: Envy
When I was growing up in the early to mid 80's - I wanted to see SC play on Saturdays but usually only a handful of games were on and it was ALWAYS ND and I grew to hate them. Plus - their exclusive TV contract with (NBC I think??) and I just got tired of it. Whatever love the media talking heads had then, they still have now and I don't believe it's justified. -- Having said that, I do believe they are a much stronger team this year than their usual teams......but ultimately I believe they play a creampuff schedule.
At this point I don't care if TX or OSU beats them, as long as either one obliterates ND - and I think that will ultimately happen. And for the record, they haven't won anything since 88' - nearly 40 years. They made it to the Championship game about a decade ago and got annihilated by Alabama something like 42-14. They had no business being on the same field as Bama. - Again, this year they are stronger but I hate them.
