Absolute joke for Bama to stay at 3 with their performances over the past few weeks, and Ok State being behind them. At this point, it would not shock me if Georgia destroys Bama, they only drop one spot and still get in. The committee is a joke and needs to be called out by the media (which won't happen, ESPN is the Bama Football Network)

Imagine the chaos if Michigan, Cincy, OK State, and Bama all lose. Do they bump up OSU, ND, and Baylor?

This year, right now, Alabama is not more deserving than Oklahoma State University to be in the 4 spot. I’m not a conspiracy theorist but I have to believe money plays a very big part in rankings when it’s a close call. Alabama is much more marketable than OSU.

The NCAA’s wet dream would be Alabama, Notre Dame, Michigan and USC. Trust me they have no use for Cincinnati or Georgia.

Generally agree but I believe it's ESPN's wet dream - they're the ones televising the thing and they paid for the broadcast rights.

IMO this is setting up beautifully for Alabama to get favorable calls/treatment and beat Georgia, thus ensuring two SEC teams in the CFP. I would suspect that the seeding will ensure that there isn't a Bama-Georgia repeat. I think Cincy will beat Houston and get in. Then it depends on Michigan. If they win, they're in. Otherwise, it's OK State or Notre Dame.

The wild card for the SEC ccg is Saban. In a year where they have struggled (or as close to struggling as Bama has done under Saban), it's still hard to believe he won't have a plan for his protégé Smart.

Still, UGA is the one who shuts people down and runs over your defense like a bully until you start making mistakes.

Bama struggled to move the ball against Auburn. Robinson is hurt. The backups are not NFL ready backs. Perfect storm.

If Georgia beats Alabama, are they out of the playoffs? If yes, who gets in ND or OSU.

I believe that Michigan will beat Iowa, but it’s no guarantee. The same applies to the Cincinnati Houston game, no guarantee.

The B1G is dumb, biased and greedy. There’s no way Iowa is beating scUM

If Georgia beats Bama, it would be Georgia, Michigan, Ok State, Cincy.

Bama loses Saturday they have to be out. This isn't the yearly Bama team, they beat LSU, Florida, Auburn by a combine 10 points, and should have lost to Arkansas.

I just don't see a scenario where Ohio State gets in.. I think Oregon beats Utah, they would jump Ohio State, who they beat earlier.

Bama, Oregon, Baylor, and ND would probably be your 4 in that scenario.

Leaving out UGA? I don't like it, but they get in regardless.

I believe they said tonight, no team is cemented in already. Georgia probably is close, but if Bama blows them out, I don't see then getting in.

SEC was down this year, I just don't see it getting 2 teams. I could be wrong.

That's my feeling as well. But if Bama beats Georgia both of them are in. Who is out then OK St or Cincinnati? I would lean Cincinnati. The committee would drop them in a second.

I am not sure...I really feel if Cincy wasn't going to make it, they wouldn't be ranked 4th right now.. It's going to be hard to drop them, if they beat 11 win 20th ranked Houston.

Cincy probably has the most impressive win this season tbh, at least according to the rankings (No disrespect to Michigan over OSU) they are unbeaten, and would have won their conference.

I agree with you. I hope they get in. Without 4 dominant teams, this is the year. But I just have a feeling the committee is looking for any reason to drop them.

Who would you put at #3, and where would you slot in Alabama?

USC? Did you mean to say OSU?

After Ok State beat #10, I would have flipped them and Bama

I would have had
Georgia
Michigan
Ok State
Cincy
Bama
ND

Bama needed 4 OT to beat 6-6 Auburn after they lost to South Carolina.

OK. I wouldn't argue with that. And if that were the rankings today, Alabama would be in the same position - beat Georgia to get into the playoffs. So would it matter? The only team that would be hurt by those rankings, as opposed to the current ones, would be Cincinnati - who would be out if Alabama and Oklahoma State win.

But one certainly could say: Oklahoma State ahead of Alabama? Oklahoma State lost to Iowa State, beat Missouri State - I believe a Div 1-AA program - by 7, beat non-P5 Tulsa by 5, and non-P5 Boise by 1. In the Boise game, Boise had a field goal blocked in the final minutes allowing Oklahoma State to win.
If Alabama had similar results against Southern Miss and New Mexico State, people would be apoplectic, because Alabama should never struggle against non-P5 teams - so it cuts both ways.
