Just surfing the Interwebs and ran across this website, http://bulldawgjunction.com/ and was wondering if anyone else had seen it? It was started by a guy named Michael Wardlaw and I think we are one of only eight schools to be involved with this.

Edited to add link.

the site looks pretty nice, but the forums are dead. I guess he learned that from the Blitz. It might get some more traffic.

The guy had posted some pics of the Oregon Cheerleaders so he might not be that uptight.

Edited to add his reply to me.....

Well Saddawg,

I'll call it like I see it. I will be a straight shooter. Am I a Mississippi State guy sure. Am I going to push Mississippi State, you bet. But, my staff and I will tell you like it is from our point of view. I have no intention of taking a bad story and making it sound great...nor will I ignore a negative story for the sake of being a "team player".

Our job is to report the news and give you our take on the situation. There will be opinion columns that go both ways...but you can always count of BullDawgJunction to shoot you straight.

Stick around... you'll see what I'm talking about soon.

GO DAWGS,

Michael Wardlaw

We'll see I guess. I think he's gonna find it hard to get anyone over at the Kremlin, aka the Bryan Building, to talk to him with that mindset. He''l probably have to toe the company line unless he allies himself with the outcasts and degenerates such as ourselves. Hell, we break more news than anybody anyway.

Recieved this week. And yes, it's Wardlaw running it. His spoiler said that they had teamed up with ESPN on this. I'll support, for no other reason than to hurt the swan. Rivals must really suck now? Been a while since I checked Rob's page out.

Good guy, and a straight shooter. We've talked several times about different situations, and he usually has a pretty realistic take on what's happening. He just launched the site within the last week or so, which makes it no surprise the forums are dead. If the publicity for it heats up, that will hopefully change.

That site could easily be the best of the 3 with the ESPN connections(Rivals, Scout, and now BulldawgJunction)

One could be decent, but nobody ever goes there. The other you never know when you can trust what you're being told and when you can't, although after a while you do kind of get it figured out. Not to mention all the sunshine police. The fact is, this site is the best of the four and I don't see that changing. Even though it's a strictly message board format, you can get much better information here than on the other sites.

I wish him well. He's indeed a good guy, MSU golf history.
Former manager at the Boar's Head thangie at the Little Dooey.
Former commentator on the Rivals site. Other stuff.

I've only had about a dozen conversations with him, from a half minute to a half hour, usually hanging with mutual friends, but the guy loves MSU.

The key to having a successful MSU sports website is having successful MSU sports.
Wouldn't we all love that.

there were a couple of good reads on Ravern Johnson and Elgin Baylor.
probably the longest articles written about either of them all year. and apparently Baylor only played a little over a year's worth of basketball in high school. i knew he was injured back then, but damn thats a lot of experience to miss.

Did Elgin Baylor redshirt? I don't remember us signing anyone named Baylor.

On a different note, Elgin Bailey was pretty good this year. Hopefully he can move over to the 4 and help replace Chuck.

you dont remember us signing Baylor? really? Jack sure thinks we did, cuz he called out his name during the games. and those idiots over at Raycom seemed to think we had a player on the floor named Baylor.

Wardlaw is amazingly ignorant about MSU sports for someone that spends so much time around them. You would almost have to try to be so uninformed about things to be as uninformed as he is. It has always amazed me how he can know so little.

Gene or Rob? Wardlow has actually done a good job in the past on the blitz. It looks like a good site. Hopefully he puts mulletman out of business.

odd, cuz i actually think the exact opposite about the guy. he has always given pretty good insight and an accurate(honest) rundown of whatever game he is writing about.

but hey, i guess thats why there are multiple sites. different strokes and all. i think Wardlaw is good, you think Gene is good. its ok.
