Holcombe, a 6-foot-6, 205-pounder from College Park, Ga., averaged 13.4 points and 7.3 rebounds last season when he was named an NJCAA second-team All-American.
He joins previously announced MSU signees Twany Beckham, Romero Osby and Dee Bost.</p> </div>

Reminds me stat-wise and build of Travis Gabbidon that we signed two years ago.

I think this safely means that Gordon is all but gone, agent or not (though without him, we still have 12 scholarship players for '08'-09). This gives us two definite open scholarships for '09: Gordon's (vacated or graduated) and Brian Johnson's. I would think it is safe to say that we'll see some "attrition", Mississippi-State-Style, to free up at least one more. That probably means goodbye to Augustus, Benock, or Turner most likely. But, this is all a ways away . . . in the mean time, I hope our new "Jacq" can contribute, in some form, fairly early on.
