We have all seen how incredible Lanorris is running with the ball. In the 15 years ive been watching football i haven’t seen someone as good as this at 19 years old.

But he has also shown he can throw the ball too.

you guys who are in the stadium may have a better view on my main point. The TV doesn’t give you a view of the whole pitch so hard to tell.

sometimes Lanorris is forced to hold onto the ball a little longer than necessary. The team has some talented receivers who are fast, tall, and can catch the ball. But are they good enough at creating space and running routes?

can you imagine how much of a problem Lanorris will be next season if you do manage to add those type of receivers? Malik Clark looks like that type of player?

it will make it very difficult for opposing teams wondering if he is going to
Run the ball or throw.

Harbor should be ready to blow up CFB next year now that he isn’t playing around with the olympics. Mazeo in the slot with a full off season will be great. Give me a big possession receiver who runs great routes on the other side, Bryan Edwards type.

lol. He said pitch. Love the accent. Yes having a full perspective of the field shows how much there is to gain in the WR room. Whether it be blocking, stepping in front on an out route and not letting the db intercept(Harbor) or getting more open on his scrambles. He is somewhat accurate when there is a pocket to protect him. But way too many times he has to “escape”. I still think Oline is a weakness. Case in point how many QB pressure did we have against Clubby. Not enough. 1 sack that I recall. Yes the new youngsters have length, just need them to be strong too to play in the SEC. Clemsons Freshman 2 are very good, catching every jump ball thrown their way. Hope Murphy signs and that would give us some young depth and maybe on proven portal stud.

By the way great observation UK. Planning ahead with hope is an important attribute of a Gamecock fan.

I thought Harbor was in his last year? Thats great news if he is staying. Be interesting to see how Malik Clark gets on. He was wanted by a lot of teams.

lol sometimes i need to change my post a few times before confirming due to some of the accent differences despite speaking the same language. Us Scots are way more Slang than our English friends.

i was thinking the o line protection needs some improvement too. Any other QB would have had many sacks against them by now

This year the defense carried the team. Next year the offense will have to carry us.
Yeah i think so to. It will be really tough to replace the defensive players moving on. But this is part of what coach beamer is building. Consistency, next season will be a big test. I believe in him

Like most, I was disappointed with Harbor's absence from the offense earlier in the season, but he slowly came on as the season progressed. I can't recall any egregious drops lately and he's come up with some nice grabs for us. Keeping in mind, he had a few weeks of practice at WR this past offseason, if you give him a full off-season of preparation next year, he could be a real weapon for us next season.

One thing we haven't managed to do is get him the ball in stride and in space so he can utilized his speed. Seems most of the passes to him I can recall were sideline passes or passes in traffic.

Something that struck me watching my recording of the clem game was how their QB passed the ball. It was how Garcia used to throw to Alshon; Throw the dang ball, and give your 6'4 guy a chance to GO GET IT! The clem QB was letting it fly, and their FR receivers were often grabbing the ball - making plays! None (or very, very few) of our passing plays resemble that. I'd LOVE to see us do that more, ESPECIALLY with Harbor! He's developing a little 'dawg' in himself - let him show it!

Yep. I posted prior to the game that it didn't seem like Clemson had the threats at WR like they had in the past. They did their best early on to make me look stupid.

We had pretty tight coverage on some of them as well. On one, our DB was there, stride for stride, and got a hand in to knock the ball out, but it fortuitously landed back in the receiver's hands for a big gain.

If Rattler were this mobile they would have won maybe 8 last year.
