So there I am in Atlanta for my annual new year's trip to see Panic play at the Phillip's arena. My day goes as usual, travelng and catching a pretty good buzz doing so. Before heading to the show we observe va tech and Tennessee fans making their way to the dome for the peach bowl. Around 7:30, my group decides to go into the arena to start partyin and beat the crowd. We enter the arena having our tickets scanned ELECTRONICALLY and enter the arena. We drink and pass stories of the year past for around an hour, at which point I decide it's time to visit the men's room and grab a smoke before the first set begins. While I'm standing in the smoking area talking to the man watching the door, we notice another courtesy officer walking with a man around the age of 38 dressed from head to toe in va tech gear with a pair of binoculars, while staring deeply at his ticket . As they approach the security guard and I, I continually hear the man from va tech saying, "but I'm in section 215." As the evidence begins to reveal itself, the va tech fan managed to get into the panic show after the peach bowl had nearly reached halftme, he was so drunk he could not grap the fact he was in the phillip's arena rather than the Georgia dome. At which point he was asked to leaved and while climbing the fence lost his balance and face planted. He then wondered off into the blue moon, happy new years to the fellow and kudos to the electronic ticket machines for apparently accepting anything.
