The Patriots were in the 2008 Super Bowl (lost to the Giants after going 16-0 in the 2007 regular season). The Red Sox won the 2007 World Series. The Celtics won the 2007-08 NBA title.

Quite the sports year. They were a David Tyree miracle catch away from holding the NBA, NFL, and MLB titles all at the same time.
