I also always thought he would have been a great guest star on The Big Bang Theory - showing the nerds that you can mix academics and athletics.

Great/ inspirational stuff! “Stay curious” - great words to live by. My father says the same thing and he’s very much like John U and extremely reknowned in his highly technical field.

John is simply on an extremely high mathematical level. My bachelor degree was in math; but I realized at a very early age, during my college days, that obtaining a Masters and/or doctorate in pure mathematics was not in my cards; although I kind of wished it were at the time. Very few individuals can competently understand the purely theoretical levels of pure mathematics. Kudos to John, he’s an extremely intelligent individual. It AINT easy.

I think he would have been a solid NFL player for a few years, but I certainly think his decision to retire and move on to more serious things was the right move. He will do so much more in this world as a mathematician.
