In a tournament that was notable for the number of matches that were not wrestled, I think it is worthwile to show some appreciation for a guy who was always.

Always there, always attacking, always looking to score, always classy in victory and defeat, always always always representing PSU in the way PSU wants to be represented.

The only two times he failed to put his toe on the line in five years representing the Nittany Lions with distinction were this year due to Covid protocols (i.e. out of his control).

With 114 victories and counting against only 13 defeats, he has treated us all to some of the highest level of high scoring wrestling. And for this I want to say thank you.

I can't wait to say it again after 5 more consecutive wins.

My buddy was a walk on at Purdue and lives just north of Indianapolis, attends the IN HS state tournament almost every year and has followed the Nick Lee story. He just loves the kid (young man!) and as we compare notes on the Big 10, NCAA's and roll through the weight classes, when we reach 141, stop and reflect just what a great example Nick is. Student, athlete, humble, (really really good wrestler), etc., It's evident in my buddies voice and mannerisms that he's a real fan of Nick. Me too! Right now Nick is #7 on PSU career bonus point win leaders, and just outside of Top 20 on career win % leaders... He's not done yet!
