Phil said Nick Singleton got a lucrative NIL deal form a Harrisburg company, and that sounds great. Nick is famous, as he is widely known and people have seen his picture nationally. That is exactly what NIL value means = Nick has individual value. I am sure that will be true of Arch Manning, same story. However, when they were talking about NIL "position value", that makes no sense. You need a person to have NIL value.

In the NFL there are positions that clearly pay more than other positions. An OT may be worth more than even a well known RB on the payroll, but this means nothing about their NIL value. The NIL value to say Nike might be more for that RB than it was for say that OT. The most well recognized person/personality might have the greatest NIL $$ value, since that is their brand value. Player compensation relates to their play value, which is completely different thing from NIL.
