No basis for this thought, but I feel like if we make a good run this year...

Stansbury is gone. I have a feeling that he would welcome the opportunity to coach somewhere resources are not an issue and he has a real chance to field a national title contender. Also, if we have a decent run considering the raise Croom and company are getting, I doubt we will be able to pony up for basketball.

First off, we have what no other school has... Meo. Secondly, Rick has built us into a contender. He has stated many times that Starkville is a good place to raise his kids. Also, I think he's probably happy in Starkville. He also realizes basketball will always take a backseat to football because football is the real money making sport at most schools.

Why does our school have Meo?

AND, now that LT is riding off in the sunset, Stans has got to be one happy camper.

I should still be there, as I too am an MSU alum and love it there.

Meo went to HS in Virginia, do you not think that she could possibly be provoked to go back there? Hmm...

I think Stansbury is going to make a career @ MSU and we are lucky to have him. He has learned a lot and routinely takes MSU to national-level. Next year will be more of a coaching challenge sans Gordon.
