I don't know. Their staff was running on fumes. I believe with Becker, Jerzembeck and Proctor plus others who could still throw an inning today, we would have been in better pitching shape. But you never know how players will react to this type weather even if we had played it.

It really stings losing yesterday after a good lead for almost the entire game. Letting the bases get loaded without a pitching change is on the coaches. They were overconfident in our lead. Hopefully they will learn from it

It always sucks when you end your baseball week on a loss. Even when you had a great week, which we did, it leaves you with a sour taste.

We should be looking at the bright side. We went two and one this week against top competition. We're in great shape both nationally and in our conference. Our guys are confident and they know we can beat anybody.

And our guys who are nicked up have some more time off for rest and treatment.

The Vandy series is going to be awesome!

May have been unintentional but I cant help but think we may have taken our foot of the gas. Maybe the loss will serve us better than had we won it.

Agree, I think the loss to Charlotte was a motivator and got us focused for SEC play.

Yeah plus knowing we can get beat if we let our guard down is not a bad message to get with Vandy, UF and the likes coming. Plus it wasnt a costly loss for the message recieved imo. Not like had we lost the series.

Agreed, I still think LSU was and is overrated though. Just don't see how a team with 1 pitcher, commits constant, ugly errors, and can't touch anything but fastballs at the plate is number 1.

And that may turn out to be a "useful" loss for us.
