if this holds, a win over the Bucs seals the deal. Payton will just have to start figuring out how much to play the starters against Carolina.

that would be 3 weeks of no football by the time the playoff game rolls around.

You've already got a bye week. No need to give some of your players 2 off weeks in a row. Play the starters and try to win.</p>

I've wanted to see if Moore was an NFL quality QB for a couple of years now. We need to know before the draft where we can concentrate on DL and WR. If not, I kinda hope we use our # 2 draft pick for the QB out of Central Michigan--Dan LeFevour. Since we had a down year this year, it will be a playoff year next since this is the way we have gone under Fox--if he is still there.

I hope not anyway. I don't know anyone that would like to have him back. The guy has never put together back to back winning seasons, and that Delhomme extension was mindboggling. Then he refused to bring in a capable backup this year when there were several available for fear that they would look better than Delhomme. I hope Fox is done.

As recent as the middle of this month, there had been no contract negotiations between him and the front office, so we shall see.

who is a bean counter and not a real GM. Our drafts have been decent, but our refusal to draft a QB, DT or S very high has cost us dearly. That and paying J Peppers 16 million to sleep walk through games kept us from getting quality depth. Fox will not use rookie QBs since he likes experienced players that hand off the ball anyway.
