I hate blue fields and at the very least if you are going to use a stadium used by a college spend the money to change the endzone.

I use to travel to Boise several times a year. Word there, manufacturer screwed up and gave to them for free!

The AD in the 80's did it for marketing. Wanted to draw attention to the school. Boise State was a Junior college up to 1967. NAIA for few years and then D2 /1-AA in the 70's and 80's when they put in the blue turf. Didn't make it up to what is currently FBS until the late 90's.

Since making full D1/FBS status in 1998 I think they are like 270-65. They have not had a losing season yet, have won 10+ games 19 times and are 3-0 in the Fiesta bowl and are about to play in it for the 4th time.

Say what you will about the level of competition in their conference, these goofy mother17ers win at an unmatched level. They are the winningest program in FBS since joining. If you told me right now we could jump down to the Sunbelt and have the same level of success as Boise State has... Count me in.

They fired their coach last season, hired a a first time head coach, and are a walk off field goal at Oregon away from being the #1 team in the country. I wish I could sprinkle some of that winning culture on our program. Or maybe it's just the blue turf...

Yes they will be out matched and should get crushed on Tuesday... But id love to be in that position of likely getting our ásses kicked in the playoffs.
