All I said was I want to win and didn't care with who as the coach and if they did not make it to post season play, he should be fired. No way in hell Miss State should go three seasons not making the play off. After two crappy seasons he had he needed to be either fired or on the hot seat. It wasn't even close the past two seasons. He saved his job. I just want to win but I also want to see how he follows up next season.

I’ll admit that I didn’t think we would make the tournament. I didn’t think Parker could knock 4 runs off of the same pitchers from last year or we’d go worst to first in fielding. Glad I was wrong and I guess I need to take you to the casino.

Just looked on Hailstate. Our ERA improved by 2.8 this year. I'll give Parker credit for 2.0 which is pretty big. Foxhall was so bad I think that just by getting rid of him and not even having a pitching coach we would have improved by the .8.

I was mainly talking about SEC only. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to find last years SEC only stats, but I believe we were a 9.0 ERA, we are a 4.68 currently.

Not really. I based my prediction on getting some pitching back from injury and not having Fox. Pitching was our issue last year... and the year before... and still is when it comes to the bullpen depth. Some pitching didn't come back as I hoped, but Fox was/is bad. (Check out what he's done this year.) But a good pitching coach can make a big difference. We could have been in the same shape last year that we are in now if you take into account the games that we gave away. We still gave away a few this year but we've have definitely improved.

I thought we would improve some in the field, but not this much though. Given the above average talent we have, we'd have to put forth effort not to improve some.
