Bob Feller's MLB debut was in 1936 when Unitas was just a toddler. I don't think he wore #19 because of Johnny Unitas.

Interesting. The article I read said that Len Dawson offered to let Joe Montana wear #16, but he declined Dawson's offer and wore #19 instead. Neat stuff.
